Studies

A lot of values. I'm trying to nail it. Hard, but going.

This point in life.

One fact: This is for me. Well, in the deepest meaning of the word "care", it's only me that really care about this blog and stuff. This is for me. To, at some point, look back in a (such a bommer that this word is realted to a huge scale) historical eye to my own struggles, solutions and process.

So, for my dear future me, right now i'm really scared about my decision to pursue the fundamentals. Painting and drawing are two (really two?) disciplines that i see purpose in developing, but will they give me the momentum to begin to work/live life? 

As i write that for you, i just realized that it isn't really only for that. It's for my own mind healthiness. Your as well. Maybe, just by writing this i powderer some particles into the invisible wall in front of me. It seems less transparent. The wall is about finding a way to use the thing that i love to work. That's what i'm working right now.

Also, some of the studies that i'm doing. Brushwork, color, values, always amazing me. Scott Burdick is my main reference as a painter, looking foward to buy some of his teaching material. Dan Gerhartz comes really close, the two are so consistent. Learning a ton from them.

Gerhartz Color Studies.

He is, probably, my favorite painter in terms of color. Daniel is also strong with design. Later i'm going to study how he set his value pattern in his paintings. I'm not that used to calling people masters, but Daniel Gerhartz is, for sure, a living master.
